First try at restoring the emblems

I started doing the little details today. I took of the Glastron emblems and refurbished them and scrubbed off the pinstripe glue from the hull.

I am going to have to color sand and polish the hull to get the shine back.

I am open for suggestions.

I tried to make these work, but I was not happy with the results.

Painting and making interior panels

Here are some more pictures and a video of what I did this weekend. I made some new side panels out of wood and covered them with vinyl. I then painted the old worn out dash with some satin black. I was going to maybe out the boat back on the trailer this weekend, but noooo, it is not supposed to get above freezing here until late Saturday.

More electrical

Ok... So on to what I got done this weekend. This will be the first of two updates.

1. I got the Courtesy lights and the rest of the electrics done.

2. I replaced the fuel sending unit with a new one.

3. I started to put some of the interior back in to see how things looked.

4. I found that I did not paint up far enough on the side walls and so I had to go get some paint mixed up.

Electrical

Well, another weekend gone. I was very productive this weekend. I have the electrics about 95% done and they are working great. The only problem in the fuel gauge. It worked ok last summer, but was erratic. I think sending unit is bad. I installed some blue led lights under the rails, and installed a new panel. 600 zipties later it looks great.

There is 20 minutes of video with some how too and tech info for electrical.

Durabak Deckcoating

I have decided to go with Durabak for the Deck coating. It has little rubber granules in it to help with slip protection. It is a Urethane product.

Well here we go. I got the Durabak durabakcompany.com yesterday and started the final prep about 1:30 this afternoon. I finished about 7. The flash time between coats was alot longer than expected. That is because the Durabak cures with moisture, and today the humidity was nil. So anyway it is down and looks awesome.

All the supplies.

Videos

This is where I started making videos, and this is the recap of what i have done so far.

Glassing the deck

Oh how I hate fiberglass. I spent all day leveling out the deck for Durabak. All I can say is I am tired of the stuff. I think I have one more day of prep to make it perfect. I will order the durabak I will lay it down next weekend.

And a picture. In this picture you can see where I have put down some "peanut butter" to fill in some low spots. I will sand those down tomorrow.

I also put another coat in the engine bay.
